Thanks for your interest in contributing to Panoply! There are several ways you can participate.
Comment on existing pages
Visit any page on panoply.mndrdr.org and scroll to the bottom. You’ll find a comment section powered by GitHub Discussions where you can:
- Share your thoughts and reactions
- Add annotations or clarifications
- Ask questions
- Offer provocations or alternative perspectives
All you need is a GitHub account.
Submit new content
If you’d like to contribute a new page to Panoply:
- Go to the panoply-discussions repository
- Click Issues → New Issue
- Select “Submit a page”
- Fill out the form with:
- Page title
- Topic category
- Tags (comma-separated)
- Content in Markdown format
- Any references or sources
- Context for why this would be valuable
Your submission will be reviewed. If approved, it will be labeled approved and imported into the main site.
Start a broader discussion
For conversations that aren’t tied to a specific page, use the Discussions tab in the panoply-discussions repo.
Guidelines for submissions
- Use Markdown: Standard markdown syntax is supported
- Link to existing pages: Use wikilinks like
[[Page Title]]to reference other content - Cite sources: Include references where appropriate
- Be thoughtful: Panoply values depth and nuance over hot takes
- Respect the space: This is a learning garden focused on philosophy and political inquiry
